Another former member of the 2013 German Pro Tour has found himself on the International Scene and playing professionally in Europe.
Abel Gebor (25) currently plays for Tërbuni Pukë in the Albanian Superliga after earning a move from Finnish top flight Honka in 2014. His solid performances in the Defensive Midfield position earned him the ultimate honor getting called up to his home country Liberia in June 2015 to play Togo. With several other international caps under his belt, Gebor has found his feet on the international level earning praise from Lone Star coach James Debbah.
Like his former teammate Shelby Printemp, Gebor was first noticed while playing his trade in the USA where he previously played for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the NASL during the 2012/13 season. However, it was the U.S Soccer Academy that had both Gebor and Printemp working alongside each other in the 2013 Pro German Tour that gave Gebor a much-deserved opportunity to test his ability against Top level European Opposition.
Gebor has had further success on the international scene, representing his home country again in July & October 2015. With the latest, encounter him playing a key role in Liberia’s 3-1 win over Guinea Bissau qualify for the second round of the 2018 Russia World Cup qualification.
Gebor like Printemp is another example of the success Pro Tours can have, elevating players onto the next level when they are ready. MUFC is planning and preparing for the 2016 Pro German Tour, which aims to help players achieve their dreams.
